Is This As Good As It's Going to Get?

What a poopy few weeks. Depression and anxiety as well as physical illness with no identifiable cause, and now I have a painful tenderness in my neck near my throat, making swallowing painful. Last week, my home town was again hit by a tornado, while other parts of Oklahoma were simultaneously afflicted. At least one school in Moore was damaged (and our Governor opposes storm shelters in public schools, because she is an idiot). I have lost all hope at getting any kind of decent job, and in the past few days have been wondering...at this point in my life-is this as good as it is going to get? I turn 31 on August 17th, and in one year I have accomplished NOTHING. I am juggling the idea of moving into a new apartment complex or out of Norman entirely, because of the paranoia, bigotry and even hate I see growing daily here. Currently we have some storms out west, but tornadic conditions don't seem to be a current issue. Last year, we had a nearly dead tornado season. I wonder what this one will look like?

More people have died this year of the flu in Oklahoma then ever before, since records began being kept in 2009 (why did they not start keeping records until then?). It seems to continue to linger, even now into spring. I wonder if it will make it through summer. the 1918 killer flu began in spring time and stayed around through summer. That flu killed more people than the black death. I would not be surprised if the flu is becoming more lethal than previous years. The last few years have had bad influenza experiences. As for Ebola-don't think it has gone away...its just that the media have found "more interesting" things to focus on. Cases have just topped 25,000! An Ebola vaccine is currently in the works. I am skeptical that it will be very effective at first, until there are multiple trials to "work out the bugs". This outbreak has blown the previous ones out of the water. Keep your eyes to the heavens for blood, smoke and mist.

Are you familiar with the book Heaven is for Real? The boy in the story has since revealed that the account is a lie and was cooked up by his father. Although this is one NDE story that has been declared false, it does not in any way effect my belief in God, or the after life. As I write this, we are getting deeper into storm watches. I am always looking forward to storms and hope to see an impressive one, though I doubt I will ever see one like in May 2013! I walked from Norman 7 miles to Moore to check on loved ones, witnessing the ruins of the town I grew up in, I could not help but feel like we were speeding into the Tribulation, but I will say that my views concerning the 'unveiling' have radically changed in the last couple of years and for the most part have become a Preterist. The third blood moon is coming on the 4th in time for Passover, and rumor has it that tomorrow will be another near earth asteroid fly by.

Muggy in Oklahoma Today...and yesterday...and again tomorrow...

In past days I have asked God for knowledge and revelation concerning a friend of mine. I believe that the prayer was answered when said friend began to clarify some issues with me. Though I may not be happy with what was said, I can take it as truth and revelation, assuming what she said was truthful. Again, the other night I yelled out in my sleep ("Listen Bitch"). But, it was not hostile per se. I yell out, scream and cuss quite often when I sleep. As I have mentioned before I suffer from strange dream phenomenon. Maybe I am doing battle with the Dark Man. I remembered the dream this time, but I usually don't remember the dreams associated with screaming or yelling out. I have bad dreams from time to time but rarely ever scary ones. My apocalyptic themed dreams have recently increased (though I don't always necessarily remember the details).

Last night I spent the night at my Mom's house (which is a major achievement in itself). The neighbors there are hostile towards me, so going over there is not a good plan. But, being there last night caused no problems. I came back to Norman this morning, when my Mom dropped me off on her way to work. I had a quick breakfast and made my way to the library. For breakfast I had an Egg McMuffin from McDonald's and to be honest, I drank a beer. Had a beer for breakfast just like Johny Cash! I am not a big drinker. The beer was good. Not my favorite, but I wont complain about the taste, which I have tasted much much worse. Speaking of which-don't buy beer from liquor stores. Drink only domestic. I may go back to my Mom's tonight, but I bet I  will end up staying in Norman anyway. Had an "angry" dream last night, but had a couple of good dreams about an individual who screams hatefully about me, a few nights ago. I take that as resolving inner rage and demonstrating that I have made my peace with that individual, even if they do not wish to make their peace with me. I have moved on from that issue and am going to work on the next.

I attend AA from time to time. I am not an alcoholic, but I do enjoy the experience and hearing people's stories and experiences. You can learn a lot in AA. The AA philosophy can also be applied to other things if you change the words, plus I appreciate that it is spiritually based on your "Higher Power as you understand it to be". I decided to have only the one beer and save my money, though I had considered a second one. This morning was some what muggy and today is very muggy too. That is what you can expect with Oklahoma weather. During the morning hours I walked around town and did some free writing. That is how I transited here to the library. I was dripping with sweat upon arriving at my destination. Darn humidity!

I have gained some weight lately (probably from all the walking and lifting as well as my metabolism slowing down) and am always trying to increase it. I weighed in at 156 this morning. I try to maintain at least 160 as opposed to my old 145 approximate weight. I am 5'11 btw.

Weather:
Norman, OK- 81*F. Humidity-69%
Pyong Yang (DPRK)- 78*F Humidity- 79% (I have noticed that North Korea's weather isn't that much different than the weather in Oklahoma).

The May 20th tornado directly killed 23 people.

From 'The Oklahoman' (08/02/03):

*The threat of drought has ended for central Oklahoma. Our recent rains helped put a dent in the drought for the rest of the state.

*Victim dies 73 days after tornado. Elderly lady who received a skull fracture and had a stroke as a consequence of brain surgery has died. This would be the 25th death attributed to the May 20th,2013 Moore tornadoes (unofficially). The original fatality count is 23 with one other indirect fatality.

Prayer Service for Tornado Victims, MERS, Dreams and Middle East Turmoil

This evening I attended the First Baptist Church of Moore Prayer service for the Moore tornado victims. It is quite touching and yet heart breaking at the same time. I found myself missing the family that I used to have (a previous relationship awarded me the kids of my significant other at the time with whom I grew closer to then I have anyone excluding my mother) [and actually left the service depressed]. The choir did a wonderful job as well as the touching prayers of church Pastor Kevin, Rabbi Vered Harris and Archbishop Paul S. Coakley from the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. The adorable children of the Briarwood Elementary School Choir sang a heart warming rendition of 'Jesus Loves' me after being greeted with a standing ovation which lasted for several minutes. There was music and the Governor Mary Fallin spoke. The entire service lasted about an hour and a half.

In Regards to A Couple of Dreams I Have Recently Had:

*A month or so ago I had a dream about a catastrophic storm that hit the area (but missed Norman). The dream stuck with me for awhile. In the aftermath of the May 20th tornado I cant help but wonder if the dream was a premonition. It felt like such, as I get what seem to be prophetic dreams from time to time.

*I wont go too much into the details of this dream as it is not necessary. After I was baptised last night I spoke with the preacher for awhile in his room. As I was getting ready to leave we embraced hands. It was at that point that I recognized the setting from a dream I had last week. The details were interestingly similar. When I had that dream, I couldn't help but feel that it was prophetic in some way. I believe that the events of last night confirmed the dream.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

As time progresses God reveals things to us more and more as the prophesied time arrives. In the distant past, end times prophecies, while descriptive, did not give a full picture or time line of coming events. Prophecy that was meant to take place over thousands of years have been given as brief revelation, but in time those revelations are expanded on and detailed as necessary for the understanding of the people that the prophecy is meant for. This is called progressive revelation. As we approach the designated times, God reveals to us details about specific events as we need to understand them.

Last night (this morning) at approximately 0045, I was baptised by a non-denominational preacher. We spoke awhile on spiritual and theological topics. He convinced me the need to be baptised into "God's Church", rather then into a specific denomination (I was baptised into the Latter Day Saints church on Christmas day 2003). While getting ready to go to sleep I prayed for forgiveness of my sins and that God would make me into the person he wants me to be. I am going to try and use this event to better myself and become a better person and let go of anger and negative destructive emotions. It is time to begin living the best life that I can live. I confessed that I believe in and accept Christ's gift of salvation, which I gladly accepted.

Today rockets have his the southern suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon. Five people (at least) have been injured when a residential building and car dealership were h it. A third fired rocket failed to explode. The second floor of a residential building was struck, however no injuries resulted because of it. As of this afternoon (CST) it was too early to know who was responsible for the attacks.

Syria has agreed to attend the Geneva peace talks. The growing chaos and conflicts in the Middle East are setting the stage for hostile action against Israel. In no certain time will the God/Magog war occur (most likely AFTER the Antichrist signs a seven year peace treaty with Israel). The new coronavirus in Saudi Arabia has claimed its 18th victim. In Saudi Arabia a large number of those who have dies have been elderly people with chronic illness, as was the case with the newest victim. So far 44 cases have been confirmed world wide. The virus has been named Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS). An alert has been raised by the World Health Organization [Plagues in diverse places].

More on the Moore Oklahoma Tornadoes

First let me remind everyone that both Shawnee and parts of Texas have also had recent tornadoes and we should not forget to keep them in our prayers too. The Oklahoma National Guard has been doing an awesome job along with the countless other people out helping. A list of the names of 16 of the unfortunate fatalities have been released. I will post the names below. The names and quoted text are from: http://www.news9.com/story/22392283/victims-of-deadly-moore-tornado-identified

The text follows (I added italics to highlight quoted material below):

"The identified victims are:
1. Terri Long, female, 49
2. Megan Futrell, female, 29
3. Case Futrell, female, 4 months
4. Shannon Quick, female, 40
5. Sydnee Vargyas, female, 7 months
6. Karrina Vargyas, female, 4
7. Jenny Neely, female, 38
8. Antonia Canderaria, female, 9
9. Kyle Davis, male, 8
10. Janae Hornsby, female, 9

13. Nicolas McCabe, male, 9
14. Christopher Legg, male, 9
15. Cindy Plumley, female, adult - age unknown
16. Deanna Ward, female, adult - age unknown"

Let us pray for the victims and their families. Let us also pray for ourselves, that we may be protected in the future from such calamities and let us repent of our wrong doings and take advantage of this situation to make better people of ourselves. I believe that everyone can be made better through God's love. I pray that if you haven't done so yet, that you seek a relationship with God. I do not believe that I know anyone from the list and I am lucky to say I have not lost anyone. I feel terrible for the people who we have lost, and especially for the children lost. That is the most horrific aspect of this disaster.
